Further to recent Government advice we feel it appropriate to close our offices and move our teams to working from home during these difficult times. We will therefore be working remotely to continue helping our clients and customers and will take all possible steps to ensure service levels remain high during these rather challenging times.
Please call the normal office telephone lines as your calls will continue to be answered and forwarded to the appropriate member of staff..
We appreciate how difficult and uncertain this period will be for everyone but we would like to reassure you that during it we will do all we can to help.
Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe and well.

At Woolley & Wallis, our Fully Managed Lettings services provide a comprehensive level of property management. Whether you have one property or a portfolio of properties, our processes ensure that we are able to provide a consistent service throughout the Partnership – regardless of whether you are dealing with our Salisbury, Romsey, Fordingbridge, Shaftesbury, Ringwood or Marlborough office.
The independent inventory carried out at the start of the tenancy provides us with a very accurate condition report so that we are able to expertly manage any dilapidations over the course of any tenancy. This highly detailed report not only verbally reports on the condition of the property but also supports this with many photographs.
We conduct our first inspection after just one month, a second five months later and then periodic inspections every six months thereafter (unless we feel that more frequent inspections are required).
We feel that the one month inspection is probably the most important of any as it enables us to see how the tenant is living in the property very early in the tenancy. The benefit of this is, should there be any teething problems, we are quickly able to resolve before they become more serious.
You will be sent written reports, with attached photos, detailing each inspection that we conduct. We use a detailed report template throughout the Partnership to ensure that each inspection is carried out to the same high standards, and a level of consistency can be maintained.
The purpose of each inspection is to ensure that the property is being kept to the condition that we would expect – not just by how the tenant is living in it but also in terms of any maintenance issues that would fall under the responsibility of the Landlord as ‘general upkeep’.
This can often be the biggest worry for a landlord. Not in terms of if something has a fault within the property because this is inevitable, but actually whether the letting agent is actually managing any issues efficiently. Our process at Woolley & Wallis is very simple. Firstly, the tenant would contact us to report an issue, we would then contact the landlord for authorisation to send out a contractor and liaise accordingly with the tenant to ensure that any issues are resolved as quickly as possible. The cost of any repair would simply be deducted from the following month’s rent and a paid invoice would be sent out with the following month’s rental statement.
Woolley & Wallis is a multi-faceted business and we feel that due to this we are better placed in the local marketplace than some other agents to be able to offer and, more importantly, deliver an expert and comprehensive Property Management service.
Regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), we have to follow strict rules of conduct and performance. Our surveyors are skilled in diagnosing residential building defects such as cracks, movement, damp, dry rot, condensation. Our professional qualifications cover Residential Lettings, Property Management, Commercial Property, Residential Surveying, Repairs and Maintenance.
This expertise is an added value to our standard services and is a skill not readily offered by many of our competitors. Just one of the many reasons that stand us out from the crowd.
