A Memorable days racing at Larkhill

The point to point at Larkhill on Sunday 5th January saw a great days racing with 108 horses contesting the 9 races with a large crowd for January and the meeting will… remain in the memory for quite some time as the quality of the racing was very high.

The day started with the Woolley & Wallis Conditions Race which due to the large level of entries, was divided into two Divisions.

The first Division was won by the Rose Loxton trained Chameron owned by Paul Nicholls, Harry Cobden and John Bolton, ridden by Angus Cheleda.  The win was one of the most impressive of the day with Chameron beating his twelve rivals by ten lengths.

The second Division was won by Wick Green in one of the closest finishes of the day. Wick Green is trained and ridden by Peter Mason for the Shy John Partnership.

The Dick Hunt Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup was shared by the two winners as both races were won in exactly the same time.

The Woolley & Wallis team was delighted to see and entertain so many guests and clients throughout the jam packed day of sport.

The next Point to Point Woolley & Wallis will be attending and sponsoring is the Blackmore & Sparkford Vale at Charlton Horethorne on Sunday 8th March.
