Farmers, the same individuals that are currently helping to keep supermarket shelves, butcher shops and greengrocers full, have been given a little rest bite today with the relaxation of the “3 Crop Rule”. This rule was brought in by EU legislation, but many were worried about meeting the rule with the current levels of flooding and saturated ground meaning many crops are yet to be drilled. This will allow many of W&W clients to rethink decisions on spring cropping as they do not have the worry of complying with the 3 drop rule. It will allow individuals to look at what is going to be the most profitable crop to grow this spring, if conditions allow, rather than a crop to fulfil their obligations.
